First, let's make that clear. I'm pre-ordering LBP. I love it and no matter what they can say about it, I've been following it since day 1 and I'm betting on it. (And I'm also a firm believer in user content...)
Now, that being said, this guy is right though. Giving relative freedom to design software is great because you can come up with gems like LPB. But in a very small company like Media Molecule, too much freedom leads to delay, which mean, hype goes down after a while. Sur...
Still, so far he has said that DVD is not big enough for games and the PS3 is hard to program.
In one year from now, DVD will still be too small but PS3 will be easier.
In two years from now, DVD will still be too small and PS3 will be even easier to program.
In three years from now, DVD will be obsolete for games, and good PS3 programmers will be a dime a dozen. (Well, maybe 900K a year a dozen...)

But please, explain how they will install 3 9gig dvds on an Arcade xbox (NO DRIVE). Even your Core 20 gig harddrive will become pretty thight soon no?. And for now the only choice is paying $200 for a bigger harddrive that should cost $60. (For $200 it should be 500gig minimum)

Yes I know you can shave a few unit here in there to make sure you have enough for Christmas, but common, double the numbers like everybody else? Why have the shelves been empty for so long?

Some days, it's very hard to find an article on his web page since you have to dig through thousands of advertisement to find it. People say white and he will say black. All he does is read other websites from time to time, and put emphasis on something bad...
Microsoft is really bad because all they are doing is buying other business. It's a huge company that cannot do anything on it's own. They took years to develop an OS. Need an antivirus? buy a company. Need a firewall? buy a company. Need something else, buy company. And still after buying tons of great little business, they still cannot do anything right.

The Xbox is in a very, very dangerous situation here. Yep, the hardware is already feeling old. They have already announced (E3) that game install will now be common. Ooops, I pity Arcade version owners, or even 20gig version owner who will have to buy that ultra expensive hard drive.
So yes, you're right, the next version is coming out soon. They have no choice. But it will likely come out against the new Wii which will use the same peripherals but will likely have built-in hard...
Never played the Sims (and have the whole collection, since there's an addict in the house). Always thought home was useless... But with the theme rooms showing up at E3, and then this awesome integration of Buzz, I'm starting to think that you will see me wander around this place called Home. Very scary. Sony must definitively be on the right track with it I guess, since they are slowly making me change my mind.
They sold 2.5 millions at $50 each... That's 125 millions dollars. If truly it costed them only 40 million to make and manufacture, that's 85 millions dollars to split between Kojima Sony and the distributors. I would say that quite likely, most people got a decent amount of money out of that game no? Why do you think they didn't made a profit? Even if Kojima himself got only 1% of that, that's almost 1 million dollar!

Sure 99.9% of the user content is not that good, but when 1,000,000 people get at it, that 0.1% is a lot of great user created stuff.

In those RVs, you don't play a demo, but pretty much what they have done up to that point. So you can probably try more tracks, more cars, etc. And sure enough, you may end up being recorded, filmed, surveyed, etc, so more input than from any demo.
